Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.

They give a non-slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

Applesauce as a

in place of oil when you bake to reduce fat content,

Easy Onion Dicing
Slice onion first from end to end so that each half contains half
of the root end. Slice off flower end. Place the flat side of one of the
halves down on the cutting board, slice through the onion without cutting
through the root end (the root end is thus holding the sliced onion intact)
then, rotate the onion and cut against the slices for diced onion. Repeat
for second half.
