"Secret" Snack Mix
|
1 pkg. Good Seasons
Italian salad dressing mix
1 tbsp. dilly dip mix
1 1/2 boxes Ritz Bits
1/2 c. Orville Reddenbacher butter
flavored popcorn oil
Garlic salt |
Combine first 3 ingredients, pour over Ritz Bits. Toss with popcorn
oil. Stir well. May sprinkle lightly with garlic salt.
Best made a day ahead. |

Oyster Cracker Snack
|
2 bags oyster crackers
1 (2 oz.) pkg. Hidden Valley dressing
(dry)
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. dill weed
1/2 tsp. lemon pepper
3/4 c. corn oil
1/4 c. Romano or Parmesan grated
cheese (optional) |
Put crackers, dressing and spices in paper bag. Pour oil over
all. Shake well. Bake at 250 degrees for 20 minutes, shaking
every 5 minutes. |

"Sin Food"
|
1 c. sugar
1 c. Karo
1 1/2 c. Peanut butter
6 c. Special K cereal |
Mix 1 cup chocolate chip morsels with 1 cup butterscotch morsels over
hot water until smooth. Spread on top of cereal mixture. Wait
until this sets, then cut into squares. This little goodie is so
good and so rich, it is a sin to eat it, but once you start, you cannot
seem to stop! |

Peanut Butter Snack Treats
|
1 c. white sugar
1 c. white Karo
1 (12 oz.) jar peanut butter
3 c. Rice Krispies |
Mix sugar and Karo let come to a boil, and boil at a rolling boil 30
seconds. Remove from heat and add peanut butter. Mix until
smooth, then add Rice Krispies. Mix well. Drop by teaspoons
on waxed paper. |

Chex Snack
|
6 sticks margarine
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. garlic salt |
Melt and pour over:
1 box Corn Chex*
1 box Rice Chex*
1 box Wheat Chex*
1 bag peanuts
1 pkg. sm. pretzels |
