Reflecting Vase

Created in PSP 7, but could be adapted to other versions.
Supplies include Wood Base, Gold Flowers and Mirror. 

You will be creating your own vase.

Vase.zip

Open a transparent image 400 x 400.  Click Preset Shapes and choose the Teardrop shape.  Draw a teardrop on your image.  Flip Image.  Cut off top and bottom of image.  You image should look like this
Position your image to the left and a little below center on your transparent image. With your magic wand highlight your vase.  Fill with the color of your choice.

Create a new layer for your decorations. Decorate your vase with flowers or anything you like. Position your flowers inside the vase. Resize if necessary.

Merge visible

Click outside the vase.  Invert so ants are around the vase.

Apply shadows as follows:

Choose Layers//New/OK  Effects/3D Effects/Cutout with the following settings

Fill interior with color, unchecked

Shadow color: black

Opacity: 30

Blur: 20

Vertical & Horizontal: -10

 

Create a new layer

Add shadow as follows:

Effects/3D Effects/Cutout with the following settings

Fill interior with color, unchecked

Shadow color: black

Opacity: 30

Blur: 60

Vertical & Horizontal: 14

 

Create a new layer

Add shadow as follows:

Effects/3D Effects/Cutout with the following settings

Fill interior with color, unchecked

Shadow color: white

Opacity: 100

Blur: 20

Vertical & Horizontal: 4

 

Choose Selections/None. 
Make a new layer for the reflection.

With your selection tool in your image and make a little circle.  Fill this circle with white.

Selections/None

Apply:  Effects/Blur/Gaussian/Radius 6.00

Choose Layers/Merge/Visible.

Create a new layer.  Add the base.  Use the deformation tool to adjust the fit.

Choose Layers/Merge/Visible.

Duplicate layer  Highlight that layer on the layer palette.  Mirror image.  Position slightly higher and to the right of your vase.  Set the opacity of that layer to about 70.  Move that layer to the bottom so it is behind the left vase.
Create a new layer.  Name it Mirror.  Paste the mirror on this layer.  Position mirror over vase on the right.  Resize if necessary.  Move the mirror layer to the bottom of the layer palette.

Choose Layers/Merge/Visible.

With your magic wand click outside your image.  Flood fill this area with aqua or light green.  Set your background color to the background color.

Set your Transparency as follows:

Click Set Transparency.  Set as follows:
Add text if you like.

Add your watermark

Save image as a transparent gif.
