Valentine Heart Tutorial

Supplies Needed
PSP - I used v 9 but other
versions should also work.
No outside filters needed

This tutorial was created
by Jo. Any resemblance to other tuts are coincidental.
1 - Open tube and mask
in PSP. Copy duplicate tube twice. Minimize one for use as
tags etc.
2 - Choose a light color
from your tube for foreground and a darker color for your background.
Set your background at gradient. Settings: Angle 45 Repeats
3 Linear
3 - Open a new image 350
x 350 and fill with your gradient.
4 - Layers/New Mask Layer/from
Image. Find your mask in the drop down menu. Source Luminance
checked.
Check Invert. OK
5 - Layers/delete/Yes.
Layers/Merge group.
6 - Image/Canvas Size.
500 x 500. Click center.
7 - Effects/Texture Effects/Texture/Mosaic
Antique. Settings: # columns 50, # rows 50, tile diffusion
70, grout
width 2, grout diffusion
50.
8 - Copy and Paste tube
onto image. Resize if needed. Resize All layers Unchecked.
9 - Add a drop shadow to
your preference. I preferred not to.
10 - Merge visible.
Copy and paste as a new image. Minimize for now.
Background
11 - Open new image 1100
x 400 or height of your image.
12 - Reset your gradient
to Angle 90, Repeats 15. Fill background with gradient.
13 - Adjust/Blur/Gaussian

14 - Effects/Distortion
Effects/Wave - Settings: Horizontal - Amplitude 1, Wave length 5
Vertical - Amplitude 1
Wave length 4 Transparent
ticked.
15 - Add New raster layer
Arrange - Send to bottom
16 - Fill with gradient.
Merge Visible.
17 - Add new raster layer.
Fill with light color. Lower opacity to 80
18 - Merge visible.
Effects/Image effects/seamless tiling at default.
19 - Copy masked image.
Paste as new layer onto background. Move to the far left.
20 - Add text if desired.
21 - Add new raster layer.
22 - Add your watermark.
23 - Merge All (flatten)
24 - Export as jpg optimized
at 25.
25 - Assemble in Letter
