Quilted Side Border

This tutorial assumes you know the basics of PSP

Level: Beginner - Intermediate

Settings will remain the same unless specified.

Needed

PSP - I used PSP 9 but I'm sure other versions can be used.
No outside filters used.
Tube of your choice

Get's get started

1 - Open your tube in PSP

2 - Duplicate Twice (Shift + D)

3 - Minimize one copy.

4 - Choose two nicely coordinated colors from your tube in the
Material Palette - foreground and background.

5 - Image > Resize the tube to 250 wide.  Height will adjust itself.

6 - Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling - default setting

7 - Layers > New Raster Layer

8 - Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

9 - Fill with either color of your choice.

10 - Layers > Merge All

11 - Effects > Texture Effects > Tiles

0-30-1-25-1-0-50-White-315-50-30

12 - Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling - Edge, Vertical

13 - Layers > New Raster Layer

14 - Fill with either color of your choice. Remain on this layer.

15 - In the Layer Palette, Lower Opacity to about 80.

16 - Open remaining tube.

17 - Image > Resize the tube to 200 wide.  Height will adjust itself.

18 - Edit > Copy > Paste as New Layer on to quilted image.

19 - Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow

5-5-100-10-Black

20 - Layers > Promote Background layer, if necessary.

21 - Layers > Merge Visible

22 - Image . Canvas Size, 1280 X Height of the Side Border.
Middle Left ticked.

23 - Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow except
Shadow on New Layer Checked.

24 - Be sure Shadow Layer is Highlighted.

25 - Effects > Image Effects > Seamless Tiling
Edge and Vertical ticked, Width 50, Transition 50

26 - Layers > Merge Visible

27 - Layers > New Raster Layer

28 - Layers > Arrange > Send to Bottom

29 - Fill with the other color you choose.

30 - Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Add Noise

31 - Layers > Merge All

32 - Layers > New Raster Layer

33 - Add your Watermark

34 - Save Optimized at 20 - 25%

35 - Assemble in Letter Creator
